How to rotate PDF pages

Pages come out sideways more often than anyone admits: a phone scan saved in landscape, a document photographed at an angle, a PDF assembled from mixed sources where one page is upside down. This tool rotates the pages of your PDF by 90, 180, or 270 degrees, and you choose whether to rotate every page or only a range of pages.

Drop a PDF, pick a rotation angle, and choose the pages. "All pages" rotates the whole document — useful when an entire scan came out sideways. "Page range" rotates only the pages you list, which is the fix for a document where a single page is upside down. Press Rotate and download the corrected PDF. The rotation is permanent: it is written into the PDF itself, not just a viewer setting, so the pages stay rotated wherever the file is opened.

Everything runs in your browser, so the document never leaves your device. Rotation does not change the content of a page — text, images, and links are preserved exactly, only their orientation changes. That also means rotation does not change the file size in any meaningful way.

A practical tip: if you are not sure which direction a page needs, rotate by 90 degrees first and check the result — rotating twice by 90 degrees is the same as 180, so you can correct in steps. If several pages are sideways in different directions, rotate them in separate passes using the page-range option. And if a page was scanned upside down and also needs to be split out, rotate it first, then use the Split PDF tool.

Frequently asked questions

Can I rotate only some pages?

Yes. Use the page-range option (for example 5-5 for just page 5, or 2-4 for pages 2 to 4). Leave it blank to rotate all pages.

Is the rotation permanent?

Yes. The rotation is written into the PDF file itself, so the pages stay rotated in any viewer or printer.

Does rotating change the file size or quality?

No. Rotation only changes the orientation flag of each page. Text, images, and links are untouched, and the file size barely changes.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Rotation happens entirely in your browser. Your PDF never leaves your device.
