MERGE PDF
Merge PDF
Combine multiple PDFs into one document, in the order you choose — with an optional watermark.
100% private — processed in your browser
Your files are processed locally in your browser with JavaScript. They are never uploaded to a server. You can verify this yourself: open your browser DevTools, go to the Network tab, and watch — no file data leaves your device.
How to merge PDF files
Merging PDFs is one of the most common document tasks: you have several separate files — a contract and its appendix, a set of scanned pages, a report split into chapters — and you need one clean document instead of many. This tool joins your PDFs into a single file, in exactly the order you arrange them, without changing the content of any page.
To use it, drop two or more PDF files onto the page, or click to browse. The files appear as a list with their page counts. Drag them into the order you want, or use the up and down arrows. When the order is right, press Merge. The tool reads each PDF, copies every page in order, and builds one new PDF for you to download. The original files are not modified — you get a new, separate document.
Everything happens in your browser. Other merge tools upload your files to a server first; this one does not, which matters when the documents are contracts, financial statements, or anything with personal data. You can confirm it in your browser DevTools: no upload traffic is generated while merging.
A few practical tips. First, merging does not compress: if you join ten 5 MB scans, the result is roughly 50 MB. If the merged file is too large to email or upload, run it through the Compress PDF tool afterwards and pick a target size. Second, password-protected PDFs cannot be merged until the password is removed — the browser has no way to open them without it. Third, page order is the only thing that changes: fonts, images, links, and page sizes are preserved as they were in the originals. If two files use different page sizes (for example A4 and Letter), the merged document keeps each page at its own size, which is normal and correct.
There is no daily limit and no file-count limit beyond a sensible cap of 20 files per merge, so you can combine a whole folder of scans in one go. If you need to merge the same set of documents regularly, keep the source files in one folder and repeat the same three steps: drop, order, merge.
One everyday use case is a month of receipts or invoices: one file per purchase, one receipt per payment. Drop the PDFs for one month, arrange them in order, and merge them into a single file named by date (for example "2026-11-invoices.pdf") to send, print, or keep as your record. Because the tool runs locally, names, addresses, and order details never leave your device. If you need to mark the document as paid, tick "Add watermark" and type the stamp text — PAID is the default — and the merged file gets the stamp across every page.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a limit on how many PDFs I can merge?
You can merge up to 20 PDF files at once, with a combined size of up to 100 MB. There is no daily limit — you can merge as often as you like.
Can I add a watermark to the merged PDF?
Yes. Tick "Add watermark", type the stamp text (PAID by default, but you can use any word), and the merged file gets the stamp diagonally across every page. You can also add a date and choose the colour and opacity.
Will merging change the quality of my PDFs?
No. Merging only reorders and joins pages. Fonts, images, and text are copied exactly as they are. The result is a new PDF; your original files are untouched.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
No. A password-protected PDF cannot be opened by the browser without the password, so it cannot be merged. Remove the password first, then merge.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Merging happens entirely in your browser. Your files never leave your device — you can verify this in your browser DevTools under the Network tab.
